Fountain - mostly modelling

This week I would say I got the main bulk of modelling done on the Fountain asset. Ive refined the blocked in shapes to follow my concept piece as closely as possible and created a Victorian lantern to hang from the side of the fountain all with relative ease. The difficult part of modelling the fountain was the teeth set.
I needed to model both top and bottom sets of teeth which are completely different from each other as I used real teeth as reference to design my comical set. Each tooth is different but trying to keep them as low poly as possible the points are quite crude on the larger molar teeth which will be more hidden. Modelling the individual cracks in the teeth was the most rewarding part of the process as it really brought the teeth alive.
The only thing I am so disappointed with this week Ive spent so much time adjusting and re-topologising the skull within the programme Zbrush and it is taking for ever. I need to find a way to re-topo this skull faster. Its disappointing because Im happy with the base shapes it’s just this skull. I am quite concerned with tri count for this asset as its soring over the expected 5,000 limit but it looks great so I’ve decided not to restrict myself too much to tri budget as I don’t want to compromise my art style for the sake of a polys. If I feel I need an additional chamfer here and there I’ll be sure to use one.
That’s pretty much it for this week productive but not much to report on.
